It's time to ask your friends some hard questions in a bloody way with the latest update to "The Last of Us."
"Interrogation," the new mode in "The Last of Us," goes beyond the usual Deathmatch and has you pummeling captured opponents in order to find their lockbox of supplies on the map. You interrogate opponents by using special executions or getting shiv kills, providing you with a piece of intel that helps you get closer to the lockbox. However, you can't just kill one opponent and start dashing toward the prize--you'll have to kill five enemies before you can have an accurate location for the lockbox.
This then takes the mode into a capture and hold section, where you'll have to keep possession of the lockbox while your teammates continue interrogating enemies to find the location of the next lockbox. The whole thing puts me in the mind of the interrogation mechanic from Volition's "The Punisher" with a dash of tactical gameplay thrown in.
Oh, and if you're heading to PAX Prime this weekend, some of the Naughty Dog team will be there discussing everything from pitching the critically-acclaimed survival action game to wondering where all of the believable female characters are in video games. You can check out the Naughty Dog PAX schedule here.
