Interesting but unsurprising fact: in terms of favorite characters among the "Regular Show" cast, MTV Geek host Steven Smith is a Skips man. This, and many more revelations were made during SDCC about the upcoming game based on J.G. Quintel's animated series about a pair of slacker critters and their oddball adventures.

Here's your chance to see the first 3DS based the Cartoon Network series, "Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby In 8-Bit Land."

The game, which is out in ----- is divided among different gameplay types, with a "Super Mario Bros."-style platformer, a side-scrolling shooter, a top-down shooter, and a mixture of all three in the fourth and final area.

The game is an homage to the 80's, borrowing period-appropriate elements as well as characters and settings from the Emmy-nominated Cartoon Network series. The game sees series heroes Mordecai and Rigby dragged into a video game world after receiving a mysterious package on their doorstep.

The game isn't too long: about 4-6 hours with the option of a new game plus mode with unlockables and cheats based on things from the show.

"Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby In 8-Bit Land" will be October 29th on the 3DS.
