It's good news for console gamers who might have be interested in taking the plunge into the PC-only shooter/MMO "Planetside 2," while "DC Universe Online" makes the leap from one shiny Sony box to another.
Sony released a pair of new trailers for the pair of free-to-play MMOs, although they were mum on whether players could expect either enhancements or interoperability between platforms for either game. In the YouTube comments for the "DCUO" video, a fan asked if content from the PS3 version would be transferable across platforms--a Sony Online Entertainment rep confirmed that this was the plan, but that they had nothing official to announce yet.
"DC Universe Online" originally launched as a paid MMO before making the transition to free-to-play, with tiered subscriptions for additional access to events and in-game content. At this time, it doesn't look like SOE has any plans to make any changes to that model which has invigorated the once-struggling title.
