A couple weeks ago I posted something similar, requesting info on any PE firms who operate in Africa. The economist just ran an article about investing in sub-saharan Africa. The basic situation is: huge (though patchy) upside growth, incredible demographic potential, enormous mineral wealth, and serious lack of capital. This seems like a magic combination for risk-tolerant investors, especially for longer-term growth strategy PE firms.
Anyone have thoughts? If I want to push in this direction as I start my career in finance does anyone have any advice?
