Hello WSO Community,

This an off topic post from what should be a finance blog. However, since there are a lot of discussions concerning target and non-target schools, I thought it would be interesting to discuss what really separates these two groups. Obviously grades and standardized test scores help determine whether a high school student gets into Princeton or a simple college/ state university. However, these metrics seem remarkably flawed in my opinion.
