My 3 year old tv developed a fine line of dead pixels out of the blue, so I took it to Makro's repair people who wrote it off as unrepairable. I thought they would just replace it, but they actually gave me a full refund - and tv prices are much lower now than they were 3 years ago, so I upgraded big time and got the extended warranty again.
I know everyone says those warranties are a waste of time but in my case, it was seriously worth it. I don't see myself ever buying from anyone else (I think Game is probably similar because they're part of the same group)...
Anyway, I'm pretty stoked so thought I'd share my thoughts - gotta run now, need to set up my brand new tv...
